Our trip to the zoo....

Ryan and I took off work last Friday and were going to take Preston to the waterpark. Well on Wednesday Ryan read in the paper that the park had changed to fall hours and would not open until 4pm. Ryan emails me info on going to the Columbus Zoo which has a new waterpark attached and staying in a hotel and we book it that night. Talk about an impromptu trip. We had such a great time. Preston loved all the animal especially the elephants. That was one of the first animals we saw and that is all he talked about the rest of the time we were there.

At around 2 we decided to head back to the hotel and take a little nap before going to the waterpark. It was about 90 that day so it was good to get in the air conditioning and rest for a while. At around 4:30 we headed back to the waterpark. I wasn't sure if Preston would like it or not but he ended up having a blast. He loved going down the slides and filling the buckets up with water and dumping them out. We went down the lazy river and he loved going under all the bridges and waterfalls. We stayed at the park until it closed at 8, at which time Preston's lips were blue and then headed back to the hotel room. We had such a great time and it was a nice trip for the three of us, before we become four.

::This is the waterslide that Preston and I went down, he was loving it but I got scared that it was going to fast and tried to slow us down and he bumped his head, now every time you ask him about the waterslide he says "I bumped my head". Needless to say he wouldn't go down again. ::Long day, ready to go home::
