Kalahari

Whew its been a busy month. Tax season is finally over and Ryan is back to his normal hours so the Rieger household is finally getting back to normal. We celebrated the end of busy season with Ryan's company party on Friday night at the Country Club. They had a casino night with all kind of gambling games including black jack, roulette, and craps. I am a big black jack player but decided to play craps with Ryan. It was my first time playing, a long with a lot of other employees so we all learned together. It is a lot of fun and we were all yelling and cheering by the end of the night. We played for the entire 3 hours and had a lot of fun.

Saturday morning we left for the indoor waterpark in Sandusky, Ohio. It's called Kalahari and it is the largest indoor water park in the country. We had a blast! We had a suite that slept 12 people which were Ryan, Preston, and I, Ryan's mom and dad, Grandma and Pa Beans, Aunt Suzie and Taylor, Tera and Sophia and Tera's step son and his friend. We got there and got our suits on and headed down to the waterpark. I was amazed at how big the place was and there was so much for the kids to do. We played in the water for a few hours and explored the place and then had lunch. After lunch the kids were getting tired so we took them up to the room for a nap and then Ryan, my father-in-law Terry, my sister-in-law Tera, Ryan's cousin Taylor, and I headed back down to ride some of the big kid slides. We had a blast and Ryan giggled like a little girl on the rides.

After the kids woke up from their naps we all got dressed and headed downstairs for dinner. We ate at a seafood buffet that was delicous. Ryan filled up on about 4 plates of crab legs, and the kids loved the dessert table. After dinner we went downstairs to the arcade and to the indoor jungle gym. Preston and Sophia enjoyed watching Taylor play the Dance Dance Revolution game. By then it was almost 9:00 and we decided we better head up and get the kids to bed. They got a bath together and then laid down pretty easily, they were definately worn out.

Sunday morning we woke up early and packed up our stuff and then went back down to the waterpark. It was nice as it wasn't as crowded as the day before. Preston loved going down the waterslides and also enjoyed riding with Ryan and I down the lazy river. There were waterfalls and he got a big kick out of going underneath them. He kept saying "again, one" as he wanted to do it one more time. Around noon we got dressed and checked out of the room and had lunch at "Donalds", Preston's new favorite place to go, and then began the trip home. It was a great time and we can't wait to take Preston back again.
